Hi I’m Rita
Most brides who contact me aren’t worried about how their makeup will look at 10am.
They’re worried about how it will look after heat, emotions, hugs, photos and a full wedding day in a country that isn’t home.
You want to still recognize yourself — calm, confident and comfortable — not “done up”.
I’m the person standing beside you during the quiet moments of the morning, when the nerves start to show, when timelines feel overwhelming, and when you need someone calm and experienced guiding everything behind the scenes.
My work is about creating a natural, skin-focused look that feels comfortable, photographs beautifully, and lasts through heat, happy tears and long wedding days — without ever feeling heavy or overdone.
After several years working and living in New Zealand, I now work with destination brides getting married in Portugal and across Europe.
Rita’s approach:
My work is not based on trends or heavy coverage.
It’s based on skin preparation, product performance and timing.
I carefully build makeup in light layers so it photographs beautifully, feels comfortable and lasts through heat, tears and long wedding schedules.
The goal isn’t more makeup.
The goal is makeup you don’t have to think about anymore.
About Rita
refined artistry with technical precision
I began my training in Beauty Therapy and Skincare in Portugal, which gave me a deep understanding of skin preparation, one of the most important parts of long-lasting bridal makeup.
I later specialised in bridal artistry and trained with respected Portuguese and international artists, such as Claudia Assunção, Kelsie Bain, Natane Rosa… refining techniques focused on timeless elegance rather than trends.
For nearly a decade I worked with luxury beauty houses including Chanel, Dior, La Mer and YSL, where I learned the standards of high-performance products, skin preparation and durability under real conditions.
Over the years I kept hearing the same concern from brides:
makeup that looked beautiful at the start of the day but didn’t last.
That is what led me to specialise in the skin-focused long-wear technique I use today.
why brides book me:
Most brides don’t worry about how their makeup will look in the first hour.
They worry about how it will look after:
– outdoor ceremonies
– summer heat
– hugs and tears
– 12+ hour wedding days
My approach is based on skin preparation and long-wear layering techniques designed to remain natural while lasting all day.
The goal isn’t heavier makeup.
It’s smarter makeup.
You will still look like yourself — just more radiant, polished and confident in every photo, from morning preparations to the final dance.
For destination weddings, this matters even more.
You’re dealing with travel, weather, unfamiliar timelines and a location you don’t control.
My role is to remove one uncertainty from your day.
If you’re considering working together, the next step is simple.
Send me your wedding date and location through the enquiry form.
I will personally confirm my availability, explain travel logistics and walk you through how everything works for destination weddings in Portugal and across Europe.
You’re not committing to anything, you’re simply getting clear answers and understanding if I’m the right fit for you.
